We have an Instagram account now. Woohoo!
It’s the first of many ways we’re trying to reach and serve you. This new Instagram account will be filled with with pretty pictures and some insight into our team. We’re hoping to dive into YouTube reviews (since most kids now live on the YouTube) later this year. We’re even looking into backpacking across Europe.
Well, two out of the three are true. And since we’re launching this Instagram account we should probably fill you in on why we think it’s a great idea.
First, we’d like you to join our Plugged In family via Instagram. Yes, yes, we know you read our reviews, and since you’re here right now, you probably read a blog or two, but we’d really like you all to get to know us a little better through this new point of contact (embarrassing moments included), and we’d like to get to know you all as well!
Second, we think that Instagram is a wonderful tool to help spread media discernment to those we encounter on a daily basis. So follow us! Tell your friends to follow us! Like our pictures! You get the idea.
And for our third and final point, we want to engage with our audience in a positive way. As we’ve said before, sometimes social media outlets make people feel like their life isn’t as picture perfect as others. Sometimes, we may look at our friends’ Facebook and Instagram posts with all those smiling faces and exotic locales, and we wonder why our lives aren’t more like that. But we’re here to tell you, and show you sometimes, that no one is perfect, and we’re all navigating this world together. In our case, one movie at a time.
