The Grinch in a Cinch

In theaters high and theaters low,
Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch stole the whole show.
It earned $66 million, or so they say,
The weekend’s top movie, far and away.

Bohemian Rhapsody was a wee-distant two,
$30.8 mil. was the best it could do.
But cry not for Freddy and the rest of the band.
Its overall earnings are better than grand.
It’s banked $100 mil., and that’s just stateside.
Count overseas, and it’s near triple that tide.

Newcomer Overlord clocked in at number three,
Making $10 million from zombie battles gory.
It edged past The Nutcracker and all its Four Realms,
Which finished in fourth, a bit overwhelmed.

In fifth once again we see something new,
A Girl who still sports a weird Dragon Tattoo.
The name says a girl is caught in a Web.
The same girl or different? It cannot be said.
We can say however, it landed in fifth,
With 8 million dollars, and that is no myth.

That’s the end of our box office weekly countdown,
Which you have to admit is the best to be found.
So goodbye and farewell, and a fond sayonara,
We’ll see you next week. At least, so we oughta.
